I have recently downloaded Thunderbird Mail, and the installation went smoothly, however, only half of the folders from Apple Mail have been imported. I have tried repeating the import, but without success. What could be the reason for this, and how do I transfer the rest of the folders? I have also tried saving the missing folders as mbox files, and then transferring - but without success.

When starting thunderbird, the program cannot find my e-mails and does not respond. It is frozen. deinstallation and new installation did not help. The version i do not know because I cannot open the menue.

I have Thunderbird 153.2.0esr which runs 2 Email filter (on Inbox and on Outbox)

These filters worked for years.

Suddenly, about at the end of July 2026, the stopped working.

I suspect that one of the latest release of Thunderbird make them stop working.

Is it possible? Any suggest?

Also the filter log registry is empty.

On 28 August I received a blank email with just the sender and subject showing. Since then I have sporadically received completely blank emails, with no sender or subject, while others are arriving as normal. The same is happening when I open Thunderbird on my mobile, but not on my laptop which has an older version installed. It would seem that the issue is caused by update 153.1.1esr, as that was released on 28 Aug.

Can I revert to a previous version of Thunderbird or is there another way to fix this, thanks.

I have been using Thunderbird for years with no problems. However recently, Thunderbird very often simply stops responding. Sometimes it just hangs up and sometimes the program bar at the top displays "Mozilla Thunderbird (Not Responding)". If I try to wait for it to respond, it literally hangs for several minutes before it begins to respond again, and often, it simply never starts responding again. It has simply gotten to the point where Thunderbird is practically unusable. All my other application software continues to work with no problems. It's just Thumderbird.

The version number in this submission may not be correct. I can't provide the real version number because of the hangups.

Any suggestions?

I have been using Thunderbird for over 12 months on my old computer. I have just bought a new computer and I can't install Thunderbird on it. The process recognises my account settings, but when I press CONTINUE it gives me the error message below. The Thunderbird version on my old laptop is 155.0. I imagine that the current version I'm trying to load is a later version.

Today I started to receive this error message when I went to download emails from my aol account to thunderbird. This is the first time this has happened. "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox." We have plenty of disk space so that can't be the problem. I could see many other people are experiencing this problem and there seem to be a variety of solutions depending on the circumstances. We are on Windows 11, we don't have McAfee installed but us Norton antivirus. I tried checking the settings, I've rebooted, and not sure what else to do. I can't remember some of the other comments I read. However, I am not technical and couldn't understand most of the suggested solutions. How do I get remedial help to figure this out?

With my new monitor, I've run into a problem with the space available for the actual message. On the attached image, I'd like to completely delete the stuff circled in red. I don't use it and it takes up a lot of space. I've resized the first two columns as much as I can, but I still can't see any of my full messages unless I open them in a new window or tab, which is inconvenient.

I try to set up gmail but get the message "Error Creating Account Incoming server already exists."

I have my main Spectrum email set up fine but I have no idea where to even begin with setting up gmail since I get the message above.

I cannot send email. I get this same error over and over. I uninstall, and reinstall, the error is still present. Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: Connection refused - [181.215.65.87] blocked by Vade Threat List - ELINK003_101 - https://postmaster-earthlink.vadesecure.com/outbound_error_codes/#_101.

Thunderbird used to work. My POP outbound settings: SMTPAuth.earthlink.net Port 587 Connection Security: STARTTLS Authentication method: Normal Password

I contacted earthlink, they didn't help.

I have been getting this message when I try to log in to my Thunderbird mail for over a week: "accounts.google.com needs you to confirm access again to keep syncing with your account. Username: soprisue2@gmail.com."

I am afraid the message is Spam, so I hesitate to click on it, but if I delete it or X it out, it goes to another screen that doesn't let me click on anything. Eventually I get a message that Thunderbird is not responding, and I close it.  I am basically locked out of my mail access through Thunderbird.  Please help me.

I cannot access the Thunderbird app menu to find out what version of Thunderbird I am using, so I guessed.

As of noon yesterday my Thunderbird gets messages, puts them in the trash, then the spam and then sends a message to "spam" at my email provider. Since noon yesterday, I don't get email messages. I don't know what else it could be. If I go to the webmail, I get messages, but as soon as I download them with T-bird, they are in the trash and then sent as a spam notification to my email provider. I really use t-bird a lot so I would really hate to stop using it, it's much more useful than the webmail. Thanks

When I send photos from my phone to my imac inbox, same email address, or when a third party sends me a verification code, "get messages" is very slow showing results. Sometimes minutes, so I have to go through several verification attempts. The primary email account is gmail. My ISP is comcast.net. I don't know if this matters, because slow Get Messages is recent. It used to work very well

As of two days ago, all of my incoming messages are going directly to the Trash folder.

On Thunderbird, I've deleted all my message filters, and disabled adaptive spam filter logging. On my webmail provider, I've deleted all filters there and checked for any changes that might be responsible (there are none). None of this has fixed the problem.

I have a POP account, if that's relevant. Please help! Thank you.

I am trying to set up a new email address with Thunderbird. I have copied all the imap and smtp settings from my old address in to the new one. It is now asking for a password but I have not been asked to set up a new password for the new address. Where do I go from here?

You can help by fixing my email. In the last 10 days it works only once in a great while. It keeps giving me a time out message. I have to go to Spectrum.net to get my mail and that is not what I am paying you for.
